WEST JORDAN — A man who had been missing since April 10 was found dead sitting in his vehicle, police confirmed Wednesday.

West Jordan police confirmed they located the body of Alofamoni “Al” Togiai, the agency said in a Facebook post. Unified Police Sgt. Melody Gray said Togiai was found in his car at around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Autumn Glen Apartments, 5490 S. 3910 West, in Taylorsville.

The location is not Togiai's residence and police are not sure why he was parked there. Unified police is conducting an investigation and the body is at the medical examiner's office to determine the cause of death, Gray said. The death does not appear suspicious and there are no obvious indications of how Togiai died, Gray added.

“Our heartfelt condolences to the Togiai family,” West Jordan police said in the Facebook post.

Togiai had been seen last on April 10, and last used his cell phone on April 12, police said Tuesday. His family members reported that it was very uncharacteristic for Togiai.
