MURRAY — One person is dead following a shooting in Murray, police confirmed.
The shooting took place about 4 p.m. at an apartment complex near the intersection of 4200 South and Main Street.
Police found the 59-year-old man dead in his apartment from apparent gunshot wounds, police told KSL TV. The apartment complex is a subsidized housing facility for people age 55 and over, police said.
The person who fired the shots fled the scene and police currently are searching for the individual, police said.
Murray police detective Ken Bass said police have no reason to believe that the public is in any danger.
No other details about the shooting were immediately available.
