COVE FORT, Millard County — Both directions of I-15 have reopened after snowy conditions closed the freeway for several hours near the I-70 Interchange early Thursday morning.

The closure occurred around 7:25 a.m. between Cove Fort and Beaver, according to KSL Traffic Center. An accident and snow packed roads closed the freeway for several hours.

Both north and southbound I-15 reopened around 9 a.m., according to a Utah Department of Transportation tweet.

There were reportedly multiple vehicles that slid off the road and snow was blowing in the area during the closure.
