WEST VALLEY CITY — Rocky Mountain Power said a power outage that affected 6,482 customers in West Valley City and Kearns Sunday was due to a damaged power line.

The company’s tweet came as the Utah Department of Transportation sent a series of tweets announcing signal problems due to outages in Salt Lake County.

As of 3:57 p.m., Rocky Mountain Power confirmed that power was restored to all affected customers in West Valley City and Kearns and encouraged customers to report additional outages by texting OUT to 759677 or at rockymountainpower.net/outage.
