Salt Lake Stallions announce kickoff times for inaugural 2019 season

SALT LAKE CITY — Mark your calendars, (or put it in your iCal or Google app that keeps track of life events).

The Salt Lake Stallions, Utah's newest professional football team, will kick off their inaugural season Sunday, Feb. 10 at the Arizona Hotshots.

The Alliance of American Football announced kick times for the full 2019 league schedule.

The Stallions will open Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. local time in Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona, followed by another road date Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. local time in Birmingham, Alabama.

The club’s inaugural home game will kick off Saturday, Feb. 23 at 1 p.m. MT against the Hotshots.

That game will be followed by another home game, Saturday, March 2 against Orlando (2 p.m. MT kick).

The Stallions also host home games March 16 at 2 p.m. MT (Memphis Express), March 30 at 6 p.m. MT (San Diego Fleet) and April 12 at 6 p.m. MT (San Antonio Commanders).

All home games will be played at Rice-Eccles Stadium at the University of Utah.

The Stallions, who are coached by former Utah offensive coordinator and College Football Hall of Famer Dennis Erickson, boast 18 products of local colleges Utah, Utah State and BYU on the current roster. The team will be cut down to a 52-player active roster by the end of the preseason.
