(KSL News) Salt Lake City's former mayor is throwing his support behind a presidential long shot.

The Salt Lake Tribune is reporting Rocky Anderson will introduce presidential candidate Ralph Nader when he comes to Utah next week. Anderson says Nader is a good friend of his and someone he admires.

Anderson will provide opening remarks when Nader brings his "People Fighting Back" campaign to Salt Lake on July 31.

Nader is running as an Independent in his fifth presidential campaign.
