EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — The Miami Dolphins lost wide receiver Rishard Matthews and center Mike Pouncey to injuries against the New York Jets on Sunday.

Matthews took a hard shot to his back from Calvin Pryor on an incomplete pass to him from Ryan Tannehill in the first quarter.

The Dolphins receiver remained face-down on the turf for several minutes as doctors attended to him. Matthews got up slowly and walked to the sideline gingerly. He was listed as out for the rest of the game.

Pouncey was also out with a right foot injury suffered in the first quarter. He was carted to the locker room from Miami's sideline and replaced at center by guard Jamil Douglas.

Defensive tackle Earl Mitchell was doubtful to return after hurting a calf muscle in the second quarter. Also, defensive tackle C.J. Mosley was also ruled out after injuring a calf late in the opening half.

Jets cornerback Marcus Williams injured a knee on his interception of Tannehill in the opening quarter and was questionable. He replaced Darrelle Revis (concussion) in the starting lineup.
