ROME (AP) — Carla Marangoni, the last surviving medalist from the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics, has died. She was 102.
As a 12-year-old, Marangoni was a member of the Italian team that won silver in gymnastics.
The Italian Olympic Committee says Marangoni died Thursday. No cause of death was given.
CONI says she was the oldest living Olympic medalist in the world.
