EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) - Jordan Eberle had a goal and two assists, David Perron scored twice and the Edmonton Oilers won their fourth straight preseason game, defeating the New York Rangers 5-3 Tuesday night.
Taylor Hall and Ben Eager also scored for the Oilers.
Marc Staal, Dan Girardi and J.T. Miller replied for the Rangers.
New York scored 7:42 into the opening period when Staal's long shot through traffic beat Jason LaBarbera glove side.
Hall tied it at 12:47 and Perron scored with 31 seconds remaining in the first and on a power-play 1:07 into the second to put the Oilers ahead 3-1. New York got within 3-2 after Miller's goal a minute later, but Eager's short-handed goal restored the Oilers' 2-goal margin.
Eberle padded the lead 13:15 into the third before Girardi tallied on a power play at 16:19 to close out the scoring.
