WASHINGTON — John Gibson made 41 saves to help the Anaheim Ducks beat the Washington Capitals 4-2. The Capitals have now lost six in a row in regulation for the first time in nearly two decades. The Ducks ended their six-game skid thanks to goals from Isac Lundestrom, Troy Terry and Jakob Silfverberg. Washington was playing in the aftermath of trading veteran defenseman Dmitry Orlov and winger Garnet Hathaway to the NHL-leading Boston Bruins. Alex Ovechkin had a few scoring chances but no points in his first game back after missing a week for the death of his father.
