SALT LAKE CITY — We're a month away folks from kicking off the 2012 college football season and to get you (okay, some of you) even more hyped I found a few videos that'll stand up those little hairs on the back of your neck.
BYU Flag Bearer
BYU Football takes you inside what it means to be a flag bearer for the Cougars. It is an inspirational look at what it means to carry that flag emblazoned with the "Y" onto the field of battle.
Why don't I let head coach Bronco Mendenhall take it from here:
"I would expect the flag bearer to be the model of what our program stands for- a man of faith, a man of leadership, a man of integrity and a man of effort."
Nuff said.
Utes' photo op
From inside BYU's flag bearer to behind the scenes of Utah Football's photo shoot.
But I'm seeing a lot of serious faces. Are the Utes reading their own press clippings?
Nah.
Leave it to DeVonte Christopher to loosen things up with what I expect to see in the end zone this season.
Pac-12 Sizzle?
And if that wasn't enough for Ute fans, here's one more from the Pac-12.
"Raw. Inspiring. Unlimited. This is the west. This is the Pac-12. The Conference of Champions."
Isn't it nice to be in a conference, let alone a conference of champions?
Rookie talent?

Panini America, formerly Donruss trading cards, recruited a number of NFL rookies, including Andrew Luck, RG3 and Brandon Wheeton, to "sketch something."
And what they got back looks very, well, first grade-ish.
These 35 players certainly have talent, but it ain't drawing pictures.
On a blank 2 1/2-by-3 1/2 cardboard canvas these players drew anything and everything "dripping with pearls of wisdom and hinting at the optimism of the future."
I'll let you be the judge.
Too much dog?
Is two feet of a hot dog too much dog?

At Busch Stadium in St. Louis the Cardinals are now serving the Giant Slugger.
Two feet of sensuous sausage for only $26.
The one-pound, two-foot long all-beef hot dog has been available all month celebrating National Hot Dog month.
If you buy one fully loaded with two cups of chili, nacho cheese, grilled onions and jalapenos, it tips the scales at 2.75 pounds.
I'm sorry, but that's gross.
