SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Deron Williams had 18 points and 15 assists and the Utah Jazz increased their longest winning streak of the season to six by beating the Dallas Mavericks 104-92 on Monday night.

The Jazz held the Mavericks scoreless for more than three minutes during an 11-2 run that put Utah in control in the fourth quarter and handed Dallas its first three-game losing streak of the season.

Paul Millsap had 25 points and nine rebounds for the Jazz, who had seven offensive rebounds in the final quarter while outscoring the Mavs 27-16 to clinch the three-game season series. Andrei Kirilenko added 13 points for Utah.

Dirk Nowitzki led Dallas with 28 points, including 14 in the third period, but had just two points in the fourth.

Jason Terry had 19 points and eight assists and Jason Kidd added 11 points and nine assists for the Mavericks, whose lead over Utah for third place in the Western Conference is down to half a game.

Ronnie Brewer and Mehmet Okur scored eight points apiece and C.J. Miles had 17 for the Jazz, who were without starting forward Carlos Boozer for the second straight game because of a strained right calf.

Millsap got the start for Boozer and was just one rebound shy of a second straight double-double as Utah controlled the boards 43-34.

Nowitzki scored 29 points in the fourth quarter when the Jazz blew a huge lead in the first meeting this season. He led the Dallas to several rallies in the third quarter as the Mavericks surged to regain the lead briefly, then kept Utah from pulling away at the end of the period after back-to-back 3-pointers by Williams and Okur put Utah up 77-72.

But the Mavericks couldn't keep up when the Jazz started running a few minutes into the fourth as the Jazz had six offensive rebounds in the first four minutes of the period.

Miles drove for a layup to put Utah up 88-82 with about 7:30 left, the Kirilenko picked off a pass from Jose Barea and drove for a layup while getting the Mavericks' guard to foul him. The free throw put Utah ahead 91-82, then Millsap came up with another steal for the Jazz, stripping it from Terry in the lane and starting another fast break.

Williams set up Wesley Matthews for a layup and Matthews turned it into another three-point play with the free throw.

Dallas' drought continued as did the Mavericks' frustration as they went 3:06 without a point.

Shawn Marion ended the drought with a tip-in to cut the lead to 96-84, but forced another turnover and converted again. Millsap snuffed a shot by Terry to start another break for the Jazz, who finished it off with Kirilenko's dunk on a pass from Williams.

Neither team could pull ahead by more than six until Brewer's 3-pointer with two seconds left in the second quarter put the Jazz up 53-46 at halftime. The Jazz closed the period on a 9-2 run and Williams had a hand in every point, scoring the first two then setting up the rest with three assists.

Notes: There were 10 lead changes and eight ties in the first half. ... Dallas G Rodrique Beaubois fell hard to the floor while trying to stop a drive by Millsap with 3:12 left in the first. He was helped to the locker room and did not return because of a bruised back. ... Nowitzki got hit in the face by the ball when Okur freed it from a pileup in the third quarter, but was OK.
