SYRACUSE — U.S. Marshals arrested a suspected member of a violent street gang Tuesday night.

Acting on a tip that gang member Anthony Chaz Simmons was staying in Syracuse, members of the Marshals' Joint Criminal Apprehension Team arrested him at a house near 2000 South and 1900 West.

"We've actually been looking for him for about a month and a half," said Deputy Michael Wingert. "He's been pretty elusive and, like I say, it all came together tonight."

Simmons had felony warrants drug distribution and fleeing.
