WASATCH COUNTY, Utah — A 55-year-old man from Park City has died after a snowmobile accident in the Mill Hollow area of Wasatch County. According to a Facebook post from the Wasatch County Sheriff's Office, Kenneth Block was riding a snowmobile on a steep slope at approximately 2 p.m. Monday when the vehicle upended and landed on top of him. Block was pronounced dead on scene. Officials say he was riding with a group but was alone when the accident occurred. His death was confirmed in a statement released on social media Monday night by his company, Hoonigan Industries:

It's with our deepest regrets that we can confirm that Ken Block passed away in a snowmobile accident today. Ken was a visionary, a pioneer and an icon. And most importantly, a father and husband. He will be incredibly missed. Please respect the family's privacy at this time while they grieve.

An official cause of death will be determined by the State Medical Examiner's Office.
