WEST VALLEY CITY — A woman remained hospitalized Saturday morning after being stabbed in her own home by an intruder known to the woman.
Authorities said the woman went to a neighbor's house, near 3100 South and 4000 West, after escaping through her bedroom window. She told police she had a small get-together on Friday night when later in the evening she was attacked by an acquaintance who broke into the house after everyone else had gone to sleep.
She said the alleged assault occurred in her bedroom. Police did not release her identity. The suspect remained at large Saturday morning. Police have not released a name or description of the intruder.
The victim was transported to Jordan Valley Hospital in stable condition with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
