SOUTH SALT LAKE — A man was hospitalized after being stabbed at a park in South Salt Lake Sunday night.

Police responded to the area of Harmony Park, 3760 S. Main, about 9 p.m. and found a man with stab wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital, said South Salt Lake police spokesman Shaun Ward.

Police are still investigating what happened leading up to the stabbing, but believe it to be an isolated incident and said there was no threat to the public.

"We encourage anyone who may have witnessed the incident and has additional information to call our nonemergency dispatch at 801-840-4000," Ward said.
