WEST VALLEY CITY — A motorcyclist has died after a crash in West Valley City on Saturday afternoon.
About 12:50 p.m., a motorcycle and an SUV collided on eastbound state Route 201 near 3000 West in West Valley City, Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Jared Heywood said.
The motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Heywood said.
All traffic is being diverted off of Bangerter Highway, and state Route 201 will remain closed until about 5 p.m. as the investigation continues, Heywood said.
