Andrew Adams reporting The Mountain West Conference is promising to look into a brawl after the men's basketball championship game between BYU and UNLV. But BYU officials are already making a game plan of their own.

BYU officials tell KSL Newsradio they plan to handle the problem internally, but they say what went down was very concerning: UNLV fans taunting, pushing and punching their way to the court.

The brawl left people like BYU player Trent Plaisted's wife, Lacey, shaking. "That whole crowd was right by us, and I thought that they were just gonna attack all of us. It was scary," she said.

In a prepared statement, MWC Associate Commissioner Javan Hedlund said, "The post-game procedures will be addressed further during the MWC spring meetings."

Hedlund said an enhanced security plan was already developed after problems the year before.
