SALT LAKE CITY -- A man wanted for murdering three people in Idaho has been extradited from Mexico.

The FBI in Salt Lake City say FBI agents, U.S. Marshals and the Mexican Federal Ministerial Police arrested Jorge Alberto Lopez-Orozco in Zihuatanejo, Mexico in October 2009.

Lopez-Orozco had been placed on the FBI's "Ten Most Wanted Fugitives" list in March 2005. He faced criminal charges in Elmore County, Idaho, for the murders of his girlfriend and her two children in 2002. Their bodies were discovered in a burned out vehicle near the Snake River.

He arrived from Mexico at the Salt Lake International Airport Thursday. Agents then drove him to Elmore County, Idaho.
