1 dead, another injured in off-roading accident in Utah County

One person died and another was injured Saturday evening in an off-roading accident in a remote area of eastern Utah County.

Two people were driving a small SUV or pickup truck near Chimney Rock Pass in an area with rugged terrain when the vehicle rolled.

One person in the vehicle sustained relatively minor injuries, but the other died, according to Utah County Sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Cannon.

Neighbors pull woman from burning Draper apartment

A Draper woman was injured Saturday when a fire ignited in her apartment.

But the woman had early help from neighbors who pulled her from the flames and started to put out the fire before firefighters arrived.

Family, friends of missing Provo woman renew search on anniversary of disappearance

It's now been a year since Elizabeth Elena Laguna Salgado went missing.

But her family is still holding on to the hope that she'll be found alive.

The Salgado family joined other Provo residents Saturday in a walk from the Nomen Global Language School, where Elizabeth Salgado was last seen, to her apartment.

Intoxicated man crashes stolen car into house and flees, police say ===================================================================

A Payson family escaped injury after police say a Salem man crashed a stolen car into their home early Sunday.

Police say the driver was impaired and fled the scene on foot about 12:15 a.m. after the crash, but was arrested about an hour later in nearby Elkridge township.

Body of Sevier County man recovered from Lake Powell ====================================================

The body of a Sevier County man was recovered from Lake Powell Sunday culminating a three-day, multi-agency search for the man who fell out of a boat near Wahweap Marina Thursday evening.

Tim Ritarita, 26, was located about 10:25 a.m. Sunday by a Wasatch County sheriff's search and rescue team using a side-scan sonar that detected his body at a depth of 143 feet in the Kane County portion of Wahweap Bay in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, officials said.
