MAGNA — Firefighters are still investigating the cause of a house fire that broke out this morning in Magna.
Firefighters with the Unified Fire Authority responded to a call this morning reporting smoke and flames coming from a Manga home. The unit was able to quickly converge on the scene, noticing smoke coming from the front of the home.
Firefighters are saying the fire started burning in the roof of the home and then spread to the original wood shingles. They saw smoke when they arrived. The home was unoccupied during the fire.
The home is believed to belong to a single family who was away from home at the time of the fire. The Unified Fire Authority plans to work with the Red Cross to provide aid to the family as they recover from the damage caused.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. We will post more information as it becomes available.
