KENT, Ohio (AP) — Kent State University President Beverly Warren has said in her first "State of the University" speech it's her goal to make the northeastern Ohio school "America's healthiest university."

The Akron Beacon Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1I3FhiE ) Warren's address Thursday called for providing more "healthy, nonprocessed foods," free access to fitness facilities and health insurance discounts for participating in health programs.

Warren says it's easy to imagine Kent State as the country's healthiest university given the school's resources and experts.

There are no firm plans in place for achieving the goal, but Warren says she wants the campus community to start thinking about being healthier.

Warren encouraged students to pick a mission in life as well as a major in addition to preaching a healthier lifestyle.
