A wind-whipped brush fire north of Reno has destroyed a mobile home in Cold Springs.

The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District says the fire also destroyed two or three out-buildings and damaged nearby structures before crews stopped forward progress of the flames Wednesday afternoon.

No injuries have been reported but some vehicles also were lost in the fire that broke out shortly about 1:30 p.m. and burned about 1.5 acres (0.6 hectares) east of U.S. Highway 395.

Details of the other damage haven't been released.

The cause of the fire is unknown.

More than 600 firefighters are battling three large wildfires in northeast Nevada, including one potentially threatening several ranches near the Idaho line.

No structures have been damaged but the largest fire 40 miles (64 kilometers) south of Elko has closed roads and is threatening key wildlife habitat in the Ruby Mountains.

That blaze, dubbed the Corta Fire, has burned 26 square miles (67 sq. kilometers). It's 10% contained. Authorities have closed South Ruby Road and Harrison Pass Road at Huntington Road.

More than 320 personnel are working that fire but full containment isn't expected for a week.

The Goose Fire bordering Idaho has burned 13 square miles (34 sq. kilometers) about 25 miles (40 kilometers) east of Jackpot. It's 5% contained.

The 10-square-mile (25-square-kilometer) Shafter Fire 25 miles (40 kilometers) west of Wendover is 25% contained.
