THE JOBSITE — Operating heavy machinery is no joke. I know this because I was once asked to drive the forklift at work, and it was a disaster. I was just 17 years old at the time, and I'd never had any training with a forklift.
If operating heavy machinery were intuitive, that forklift experience might've gone better. Instead, it felt like I was in a bizarro world where every attempt to control the machine resulted in chaos.
Trying to pick up a crate? I'd somehow topple every other crate in the vicinity. Trying to navigate between two large shelves? You'd better believe that both those shelves would be smashed. So I could empathize with the unfortunate fellows in this video.
The incident captured in this video occurred recently in Hà Giang, Vietnam. The two workers fortunately survived this crash in Hà Giang, Vietnam, though their vehicle plummeted off a cliff. Either the workers had my skill level, or there was some malfunction.
The final theory? Perhaps this was the most dedicated dump truck ever. Rather than depositing its load somewhere, it decided to dump itself off the cliff.
