KEARNS -- Formal charges are now filed against a man accused of shooting and killing the boyfriend of his ex-wife.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Joshua James Montoya, 26, could face a sentence of life in prison if he is convicted of first-degree felony murder.
Prosecutors say last Friday he shot Amos Pacheco, 26, outside the Kearns home of his ex-wife after arguing with him.
Montoya is also charged with obstructing justice for allegedly hiding the murder weapon after the crime.
