(Photo courtesy Utah Department of Public Safety)MONTICELLO -- This has been a deadly week on Utah highways. Thursday brought word of yet another fatal crash, this time on state Route 491 east of Monticello.
Utah Highway Patrol troopers say just after 9 a.m. a Blanding woman lost control of her SUV on a slick road. The vehicle slid into oncoming traffic and collided with another SUV.
Liberty Little, 33, died at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle was critically injured and ended up being flown to St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, Co.
In addition to the icy roads, UHP is investigating whether alcohol use may have contributed to the accident.
