RIVERTON -- A crash involving multiple cars at 12600 South 2700 West near Riverton High School sent one woman to the hospital in critical condition.

Witnesses say a driver making a left-hand turn at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday struck another vehicle with her SUV.

The driver of the other vehicle was transported to the hospital via helicopter in critical condition. Four people in the SUV also suffered injuries.

Police are now looking into the patterns of the traffic lights and are hoping to interview the drivers of the two cars before determining if any citations will be filed.
