(KSL News) Lighting is being blamed for a grass fire near Eagle Mountain today.
The fire started this afternoon during a short thunderstorm. Due to extremely dry conditions and high winds the flames spread quickly.
Fire officials say, "We had three helicopters going back and forth. Had airplanes dropping retardant. They've very efficiently taken care of something that could have been a disaster."
No homes were threatened, and crews had the fire under contol this evening.
