SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Utah Department of Public Safety says the West Valley City driver's license office will be open on Fridays beginning this week to combat long wait times.
The department announced the new schedule Thursday via Twitter.
Wait times at driver's license offices around the state have reached several hours at times this year because the state is requiring additional documentation to prove citizenship.
The Draper driver's license office already was opened for Friday service.
