(KSL News) A Utah man is at the center of a Justice Department scandal.
D. Kyle Sampson resigned today amid the investigation into the firing of eight U.S. attorneys. Sampson served as the top aide to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. E-mails between him and former White House counsel Harriet Miers showed plans to push out the attorneys for political gain.
Sampson is a Utah native and a graduate of BYU. He previously worked for Senator Orrin G. Hatch.
