(KSL News) -- A Utah Highway Patrol trooper tried pulling a vehicle over for a broken windshield, but when it didn't stop, the chase was on.
It all began on Interstate 84 in Weber County. When the suspect took the Riverdale Road exit, things quickly got dangerous.
The driver of the red Volkswagen Jetta weaved in and out of traffic, ran several red lights and made turns going way too fast. The driver hit another vehicle when he turned around through a service station.
From there, the suspect pulled into a residential neighborhood, and the trooper made the decision to stop the chase for safety reasons.
Authorities know who the driver is and say they'll catch him later when he's not putting so many other people in danger.
