(KSL News) -- A man accused of taking hostages in a Heber City medical clinic has learned his fate.
Royal Giles was originally charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault. Giles has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
But before he's put behind bars, he'll under go a mental evaluation.
Giles pulled a gun on a patient back in January, telling the man he was a police officer. He then held patients hostage inside the Wasatch Medical Clinic, but eventually surrendered.
