WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Sen. Orrin Hatch had some bad timing Thursday morning at the annual Prayer Breakfast in Washington D.C. President Obama and quite a few dignitaries witnessed it too.

The National Prayer breakfast is a pretty big deal -- 3,500 guests are there; 100 countries represented.

So, with the spotlight of the world on him, Hatch took to the podium to offer a prayer, and then his phone rang.

"I never learned how to turn that alarm off," Hatch chuckled.

He recovered, and soon the event was back on track.
