(KSL News) A Utah laboratory may have found a way to halt the progression of Alzheimer's Disease. Myriad Genetics has been testing the drug Flurizan for more than two years.

Drug Tests Show Promising Results for Alzheimer's Patients

Now, they say during clinical tests the drug has slowed the progression of the disease in some patients and brought it to a halt in others. Forty-two percent of test patients showed the drug improves or maintained their mental health for more than two years.

Once late-stage trials are complete, Flurizan will be submitted to the Food and Drug Administration for approval.
