Customers lavish praise on the Auto Transport Group. I recently read a comment from a client that said, "The best part of working with the ATG team is that there are no surprises. They tell you what they can do, and then they do it. The management team, from the senior level right down to the local terminal manager, are not afraid to get personally involved with moving vehicles in a timely manner."
I wanted to know more about this Utah company so I visited with Chris Baldwin, chief financial officer, during a recent stop in Logan. He explained that the company is involved with the transportation and delivery of new and used cars throughout the United States and Canada. The main office is in Ogden but major terminals are also located in Portland, Denver, Phoenix and Salt Lake City.
Chris explained that maintaining the integrity of a car, both inside and out, is a high priority for ATG. Vehicle handling is an important part of all drivers' training, and employees are taught how to move in and around vehicles and how to properly load and unload. It was interesting to discover that many of the drivers have been with the company from its inception. This is unusual in the industry. Loyal, experienced drivers are a key part of the company's success.
Along with Chris, the management team includes Brent Larson, chief executive officer, Mark Lay, chief operating officer, and Brandt Baldwin, controller. Auto Transport Group started in 2000 with the consolidation of two smaller companies. Initially, it had fifteen trucks. Today the company has 85 trucks that move new, used and rental cars nationwide. ATG is committed to achieving and maintaining the highest degree of customer satisfaction through the prompt, professional and safe delivery of vehicles.
Auto Transport Group has contracts with auto manufacturers to distribute new vehicles throughout the western states. If you recently purchased a vehicle, chances are ATG delivered it.
