(KSL News) A man accused of stealing more than $4 million from the Davis County school district says he can't afford a lawyer.
John Ross requested a court-appointed defense attorney yesterday after his previous attorney, Paul Gotay, was dismissed by the court for possibly taking some of the stolen funds as payment before Ross' finances were frozen.
Ross' wife, Susan, is also charged in the case. She has retained three lawyers with the help of an unknown source.
