(KSL News) -- The Salt Palace Convention Center is emptying out this evening.

For the last four days the place has been packed with hundreds of thousands of new outdoor recreational gear, clothing, and gadgets that will be available next year.

Outdoor Retailers Summer Market Comes to Close

The Outdoor Retailers Summer Market show is the place where retailers come to place their orders for next season. 19-thousand people were expected to attend, and place orders worth millions.

Whether it was shirts, kayacks, backpacks or tiny GPS units, the sales-people were ready to make the pitch.

Keith Swenson, Pelican Products Inc.: "No matter what happens to this light, you send it in and we replace it for life, no matter what."

Nearly a thousand companies were represented at this show. The winter version of this show will come to the Salt Palace in late January.
