(KSL News) A suspected burglar was caught in West Valley this evening when his victims recognized him as their neighbor.
Some homeowners returning to their home saw the man in their backyard, carrying a tv set. They chased him. But he got away.
A K-9 unit caught the man trying to get back into HIS home just down the street.
Julie Baker, Witness: "I talk to the kid all the time [when] I'm out doing my yard. He'll come up and b.s. with me. I didn't know he was casing my house when he was coming up to talk to me. I just thought he was being friendly."
Investigators say the man had taken three tv's, other electronics, and tools. All items were recovered.
