(KSL News) -- A traffic accident closed a stretch of I-80 in Salt Lake for a couple of hours tonight.
Both the red car and the blue car were traveling east on I-80 just east of I-15. The red car had mechanical problems and was going very slow when the blue car hit it from behind.
The driver of the red car was declared dead at the scene.
Passengers in both cars were taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
