SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The wife of a deceased LDS church general authority has died.
Norma Bernston Ashton died over the weekend in Salt Lake City at the age 89. She's the wife of the late Marvin J. Ashton.
Norma held several positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints --- including serving on the Relief Society General Board from 1968 to 1974.
She and her husband traveled to several countries together during his tenure on the church's Quorum of the Twelve.
The couple had four children.
