SNOWBIRD -- Some lucky listeners hit the slopes with some familiar faces Monday at Snowbird. KSL Newsradio teamed up with the resort and Ski Utah to host a ski day for 102 of its loyal listeners.
It was all part of National "Learn a Snow Sport Month," designed to get people active during these cold winter months.
"Whether it's skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, snowshoeing; it doesn't matter. Just get out in the snow," said Raelene Davis, marketing director for Ski Utah.
Gov. Gary Herbert has also signed an official proclamation declaring January Learn a Snow Sport Month.
