(Salt Lake City-AP) -- Rob Bishop, Utah's first District congressman-elect, has chosen two Republican party veterans to lead his congressional staff.

Scott Parker will become chief of staff for Bishop in Washington, and Peter Jenks will serve as district director at Bishop's Ogden office.

Parker, Utah Republican Party executive director, was Bishop's campaign manager this election year.

Jenks was district director for retiring Representative Jim Hansen from 1992 to 1995.

Bishop's offices in Washington and Ogden are scheduled to open January third. His swearing-in will take place January seventh at the U.S. Capitol.
