(Salt Lake City-AP) -- A lot of folks from Utah made a trek across the Idaho border to buy Powerball lottery tickets for a $300 million drawing last night.
Turns out, they would have needed to drive a little bit farther to snag the winning ticket.
It was sold to someone in West Virginia, lottery officials say.
And the last-minute frenzy of ticket-buying pushed the jackpot up.
The winning ticket is worth an estimated $315 million before taxes, making it the biggest prize in Powerball history. No one has claimed it yet.
The winning numbers, by the way, were five, 14, 16, 29, 53 and the Powerball number was seven.
