(Salt Lake City-AP) -- More Utah military reservists are being activated as the nation prepares for a war against Iraq.
Up to 45 Army Reserve soldiers from the 438th Military Police Detachment were called to duty yesterday. They will report to Fort Douglas by January 2nd, then go to Fort Carson in Colorado. Their ultimate assignment has not been disclosed.
Earlier this week, about 13 Army Reserve soldiers from the 786th Quartermaster Company, based in Provo, were ordered to duty, late next month.
Both units will be deployed for a year in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
