(Sandy-AP) -- Police say a 23-year-old man was stabbed and killed by his cousin early this morning in Sandy.
Sandy police say the victim's name is Cedric Yanito. He apparently started to argue about something with his 17-year-old cousin and then whacked the boy in the face with a golf club.
The 17-year-old allegedly picked up a knife and stabbed Yanito.
Yanito was flown to University of Utah hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The 17-year-old was hospitalized for facial injuries and will be booked into a juvenile detention facility.
Police say they want to file homicide charges against the boy.
