(Salt Lake City-AP) -- Starting today, some people will need to bring a little extra money if they're planning to take a bus or train.

The Utah Transit Authority has increased fares for senior citizen and disabled riders -- from 50 cents to 60 cents. The standard adult fare remains the same -- a dollar and 25 cents.

The price for monthly passes on U-T-A busses and light rail is going up as well.
