(Salt Lake City-AP) -- Starting January 15th, the state Department of Health is set to make five-point-two (M)million dollars in cuts to Medicaid, the health program for the poor.
The cuts will take place through a series of service cancellations and stricter eligibility requirements.
The changes will affect thousands of Utah residents. Advocates for the poor are planning to meet today with Department of Health officials to see if key Medicaid plans can be maintained rather than cut.
