(Salt Lake City-AP) -- The Salt Lake City Police Department is asking for help identifying the body of a dead man found in City Creek Canyon Tuesday night.

The victim is described as a male white adult, 6-feet, 1-inch tall, weighing 275 pounds, with brown crew cut hair, blue eyes and wearing silver wire-rimmed glasses.

He was found wearing a light-weight, navy blue jacket, a light-colored T-shirt, possibly white or gray, Levi's, with a leather belt and a knife sheath on the belt, gray wool socks with an orange stripe around the top and black boots.

He was found with a couple of throwing knives.

Anyone who may know the identity of this man is asked to contact Detective Kelly Kent of the Salt Lake City Police Department at 799-3732.
