(Salt Lake City- KSL TV) A traffic stop led to a high speed chase in Utah County last night. Police still do not know why the suspect decided to run.

The chase began in Pleasant Grove shortly before 11pm. Police followed the car into Orem where the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Rick Ralston of the Orem Police Department says, "The parked car was just off to the west. (The suspect) lost control and ended into that tree."

The driver then ran from the car, but Orem Police caught him. He has been treated at a local hospital for minor injuries. No one else was injured in the chase.
