(Salt Lake City-AP) -- A man who jumped from a moving Greyhound bus on Interstate 15 has told authorities that he merely wanted to get off the bus.
The 32-year-old California man was cited for criminal mischief -- that was after he was almost run over by a truck on the highway.
The bus driver told the Utah Highway Patrol that the man asked to get off the bus after having some sort of argument with other passengers. The driver told the man he'd have to wait for the next stop. The man reportedly returned to his seat, but then pulled the emergency release on a window and hopped out.
He was treated for minor injuries.
